  • Some teachers concerned over bill that would end common core tests
    Standardized tests  in West Virginia made to go along with the common core curriculum are one step closer to being eliminated. A bill that has passed through the Senate would get rid of those tests and replace them with others that would have to be approved by the legislature. 
  • Drug Arrest In Rowan County
    Morehead, Ky. (March 26th 2017) On Sunday March 26, 2017, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Kentucky State Police Troopers Kris Cox and Brandon Burton, along with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Officer Brad Stafford, located two individuals in a vehicle on an abandoned portion of Freestone Road near the Farmers Community in Rowan County. 
  • Fatal Accident In Logan County
    Authorities in Logan have confirmed a fatality as a result of an auto accident. The accident on Route 10 in Logan County. The name of the fatality has not been released. We will update with the latest information as it becomes available.
  • Gallia County Sheriff's Office Is Investigating The Drowning Of A Juvenille
    Sheriff Matt Champlin confirmed that his office is investigating an apparent drowning which occurred on March 23, 2017. The apparent drowning occurred in the area of Williams Creek Road. The juvenile victim was reported missing by a family member from a residence in the same vicinity. The Gallia County Sheriffs, along with members of the District 2 Volunteer Fire Department and Gallia County EMS were on scene. We will update with the latest information as it becomes available. 
  • Semi Jack-Knifed On I-64 W Near MM 52, All Lanes Now Open
    Metro Communications have confirmed an 18 wheeler has jack-knifed on the interstate. Dispatch reports no injuries, but all westbound lanes are closed. We have a crew in route to the scene. We will update with the latest information as it becomes available.
  • Teens Wearing Leggings Barred From United Flight
    DENVER (AP) -- Two teenage girls were barred by a gate agent from boarding a United Airlines flight from Denver to Minneapolis on Sunday because they were wearing leggings, according to a spokesman for the airline. The girls, whose ages were not specified, were not allowed onto the morning flight because they were traveling under an employee travel pass that includes a dress code, United spokesman Jonathan Guerin said.

  • Semi Rolls just off I-77 North
    A tractor trailer rolls over while getting on I-77 North. The driver was not injured in the accident. 911 dispatchers tell 13 News the semi was a box trailer hauling plastic. No word yet on what may have caused the crash. Keep clicking for the latest.

  • Suspect In Armed Robbery with Semi-Automatic Rifle in Nicholas County Identified
    The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is asking the public for help in looking for a man who committed an armed robbery in Craigsville Thursday. According to a press release, at around 1:15 p.m. Thursday, an armed robbery occurred in Craigsville at Hometown Pharmacy.
